Game Changers Idaho is looking for a dedicated intern to join our team and help us create meaningful opportunities for kids of all abilities. We are looking for an individual who wants to learn, contribute, and gain real-world experience in a mission-driven environment:

General Information for Internship

Location: Boise, ID
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, but it may count for academic credit if approved by your school supervisor (if applicable).
Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week (variable due to seasons) with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.
Duration: The duration of the internship will be mutually agreed upon, with opportunities for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Apparel & Creative Design Intern

Overview:
This internship is perfect for a creative individual who loves design, branding, and organization. You’ll help us create appealing apparel and marketing materials while keeping our merchandise and branding projects aligned with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to apparel design, manage merchandise orders, and track inventory
  • Design promotional graphics and marketing materials
  • Support inventory and project organization through data entry and file management
  • Work with team members on branding projects that showcase our mission
  • Form team(s) to sell merchandise at events

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Interest in fashion or apparel design is a plus
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)

What You’ll Gain:

  • Build a portfolio of creative projects, including apparel and branding design.
  • Strengthen your organizational and visual communication skills.

Executive Support & Project Coordination Intern

Overview:
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, motivated, and interested in learning about nonprofit operations. You’ll work closely with our Executive Director (ED) and Director of Development (DOD), gaining firsthand experience in nonprofit leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare materials for the ED and
    DOD
  • Assist with event planning, including reaching out to donors and following up
  • Create reports, presentations, and communications for both internal and external audiences
  • Attend and take notes in meetings, following up on action items
  • Provide support on key initiatives and special projects led by the ED and DOD

Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs,Sheets, etc.)
  • Proficiency in GoodDay
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Interest in nonprofit work is a plus

Social Media & Digital Outreach Intern

Overview:
We’re looking for a creative self-starter who loves social media and digital storytelling. As our Social Media & Digital Outreach Intern, you’ll help amplify our mission by gathering compelling content and growing our online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, gathering, and creating content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Track analytics and offer fresh ideas for boosting engagement
  • Keep our website up-to-date with the latest news and events
  • Support email marketing campaigns and other outreach efforts
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure all digital media aligns with Game Changers Idaho’s mission and goals

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital trends
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience with web management and analytics is a plus
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
