Machele DuBois

My name is Machele DuBois, and I am grateful to be part of Game Changers of Idaho.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication – Journalism.

After many years as a newspaper reporter, I stumbled into the banking industry where I discovered my passion for helping people and their small businesses. I graduated in 2005 from Pacific Coast Banking School – a national graduate banking program in partnership with The School of Business at the University of Washington – Seattle. I am now a “seasoned” commercial banker with more than 36 years specializing in US Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed loan programs.

I joined Panhandle Area Council Inc. (PAC) in May 2024 as a Senior Loan Officer where I continue to work with small businesses. The PAC is a non-profit economic development organization that provides small business loans, project financing and community development services to advance economic opportunities across Idaho.

In 2021, I moved to the Treasure Valley, as it reminded me of my home state, Alaska, for its natural beauty and the people who live here. I was looking for the opportunity to support and volunteer for non-profit organizations – especially those focused on young people. And then I met Casey Ames! After seeing all that GCI does and has accomplished for so many children, I knew I wanted to support and be part of this amazing organization.

I live in Boise and enjoy traveling throughout the U.S. and Abroad, golfing, writing and volunteering.
