Monica Borelli
Program Specialist
HEYO!! My name is Monica Borelli, and I am beyond grateful to be part of the Game Changers Idaho family. My passion for this work began all the way back in 2nd grade when I asked my teacher if I could spend a day helping out in the special ed class. Within a week, my dream came true—I was paired with a little girl who had Down syndrome. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant; I just knew it was the same thing my brother had surgery for. Fast forward to today, my brother is now 18 and a proud athlete with Game Changers, which makes this journey even more special to me.
My GCI story started in high school with a simple question: “Hey you, want to come play with your brother?” Without hesitation, I said, “Absolutely!” That moment kicked off my journey as a freshman peer mentor, working alongside my two sisters. Over the years, I worked my way up to becoming GCI’s first-ever intern and now proudly serve as a Program Specialist. Watching this organization grow and thrive has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Every step of this journey has been a blessing, teaching me invaluable lessons about community, purpose, and joy.
Game Changers Idaho means the world to me, and I’m so excited to keep making a difference alongside this amazing community. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us!
